NOTE - don't count the stitches until you reach the end of row 4. Also cast off on row 4. If you find your work is ready to cast off replace row 2 with row 4 and cast off.

Cast on

Aran weight yarn and 5mm needles - 20sts

Double knitting yarn and 4mm needles 23sts

Row 1 - p2, *yfwd,k1,yrn,p2* repeat *-* until the end of the row

Row 2 - k2, *p3,k2* repeat *-* until the end of the row

Row 3 - p2,*k3,p2* repeat *-* until the end of the row

Row 4 - k2,*p3tog,k2* repeat *-* until the end of the row

work pattern until your work measures 4" cast off
