A lovely simple 8 row pattern which gives a nice textured finish.

Abbreviations

yo - place yarn to the front of your work then over the needle to knit the next stitch

skpo - slip the first stitch from your left needle to the right needle without working it, knit the next stitch, pass the slip stitch over the stitch you have just knit.

k2tog- knit the next 2 stitches together

Pattern

cast on 35 stitches and knit 4 rows

Row 1,2,3 - K2 purl until the last 2 stitches, k2

Row 4 - K3, *yo, skpo* repeat *-* until last 2 stitches, k2

Row 5,6,7, - k2, purl until the last 2 stitches, k2

Row 8 - k3, *yo, k2tog* repeat *-* until last 2 stitches, k2

repeat rows 1 - 8 until you have worked 40" or required measurement.

Using colour of your choice pick up 50sts along the cast off edge of block 10 working L - R. If you need to work R- L then knit 1 row after you have picked up the stitches work in Garter stitch (all r
