This is a lovely lace pattern with only 4 rows. Don't worry if it goes wavy at the bottom as you will be putting a border around which will straighten it up.
ABBREVIATIONS
skpo - slip the first stitch from your left needle to the right needle without working it, knit the next stitch, pass the slip stitch over the stitch you have just knit.
yfwd - Bring the yarn forward from between stitches and under the needle, then take the yarn over the top of the right-hand needle ready to knit the next stitch
CAST ON 35 stitches

Row 2 - k5, *yfwd,k2,skpo,k2tog,k2,yfwd,k1* repeat *-* until last 3 sts - k3

Repeat rows 1 - 4 until your work measures 40" - or required measurement
