Cast on 36 stitches and knit 4 rows
Row 1 - k3 *p4,k1,p1,k4* repeat *-* until last st k3
Row 2 - k3,*p3,k2,p2,k3* repeat *-* until last st k3
Row 3 - K3*p2,k2,p1,k1,p2,k2* repeat *-* until last st k3
Row 4 - k3, *p1,k2,p2,k2,p2,k1* repeat *-* until last stitch k3
Row 5 - k3,*k2,p3,k3,p2* repeat *-* until last stitch k3
Row 6 - k3*k1,p4,k4,p1* repeat *-* until last stitch k3
Work rows 1 - 6 until your work measures 40" or length required. Knit 3 rows cast off
